Welcome to the Great Alaska Killer Whale Count!
We want to know if you see a killer whale on March 1- 7 , 2003.

Very little is understood about killer whales (Orcinus orca) in Alaska.

Knowing where killer whales are is essential for directing
future research.

THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP!

For the week of March 1 - 7, 2003 we would like you to watch for killer whales in Alaska.

We would like to know two things from you:

1. Where you went on those days and
2. Whether you see or do not see any killer whales

Any information you can share with us about killer whales will be kept confidential and will be helpful to our research.

Results from the July 2002 Count.
Where were killer whales seen during the July weekend count? How many whales were seen?
Read about the preliminary results here.
